Mid-term 2024 Population and Housing Census: Collecting information on foreigners living in Vietnam for the first time
Implementing Decision No. 629/QD-TCTK, dated July 14, 2023, of the General Director of the General Statistics Office on the mid-term population and housing survey census for 2024, the GSO will begin collecting data from April 1 to April 30, 2024, in nearly 40,000 areas out of more than 200,000 nationwide.
A new point in the 2024 mid-term Population and Housing Census is to collect information about foreigners living in Vietnam. This data will be the basis for compiling statistical indicators, helping Vietnam have a reliable data source to assess the size, socio-economic characteristics, and demographic characteristics of foreigners residing in Vietnam.
